And I have run 10000 miles... (Read 327 times)

Keep in mind how many years it took me to accumulate that many. If you average it out that's less than 1700 miles a year, not quite as impressive.

Excuse me, but 1700 mpy is a lot of miles over that many years! I can't fathom doing that many miles per year for another 5 years... I'm already longing for retirement! 40+ years for you? Wow! The mental power it takes is incredible!

That's an incredible milestone, Lara: congratulations!  I've only been running since March, so my # is paltry in comparison!

@runmomtomy3boys- For just starting in March, your miles are nothing to sneeze at..............

i started in July this year............. Just over 20 miles in one week last week was pretty cool for me...........I haven't ran since Jr High School before July.....

        Congrats!  That's pretty awesome.

Though now I have the song "500 miles" stuck in my head.  My brain wants to complete your thread title with "and I will run 10000 more", complete with ridiculous vocal imitation of the singer of that band Smile

Hehe, when I hit 1,000 miles for the year, I was so excited I posted about it on facebook and a friend posted the music video for that song in reply.  : )

Lara, congratulations!  That must feel so good.  As for me, I only started running a little over a year ago, so I only have mini-miles.  1,037.6, to be exact.  : )

Congrats! I've never really counted my yearly miles and I've been running for years. Now that I'm keeping track on the logs here, it will be easier. I've always used a notebook and wasn't always diligent about recording them unless training for a particular race. Very cool for you!

          Running is my mental-Ctrl-Alt-Del.
