I Did The Unthinkable (Read 164 times)

Buelligan

I didn't drink alcohol this entire week.  Not for the usual reasons; because of a court order or because it would violate the terms of probation or it just wasn't allowed in rehab, but because I transitioned to morning running this week.  I typically drink an hour or two before I go to sleep and like to drink until I get really buzzed.  It makes getting up the next day rough, something I didn't want to deal with when I planned a morning run so I just didn't drink at all this week.

This running is interfering with my drinking.  I may have to check out that Hash House Harrier thing.

      Well that's good news!

I was a bit frightened when I saw the title, because I thought you were checking off another one of the Adidas ads.

I thought he was signing up for another marathon.

That's good news.  Are you not going to drink this weekend?

          Sadly, I did too!

This is much better, though.    Smile

What the hell is wrong with you, guys? What's good about not being able to enjoy a drink after a hard day's work? That just sucks...

How about you drink yourself into a stupor right after your run, just before you head out for work, Buel? Would that be a good compromise? But if it involves driving, forget what I said. No drinking and driving...

P.S. I don't drink. One glass of wine and I'm out. So don't start rumors about me being an alcoholic. Big grin

                    Will run for scenery.

Yeah I cut back for an equally stupid reason : the calories.

It just seems to me that a nice clear gin on the rocks out to dissolve all the sludge, rinse out all those nasty toxins and leave your body clean and fresh and renewed.  In my world, that's the way it would be.

                      Stupid feet!
