    What up doe!

I have no idea which way I am running or for how far so I am just going to step out of the door and let the breeze decide...

      Good morning!

Wherever and however far your feet take you, hope you have a great run Rick!

Had a great easy 8 miler this morning, refueling with oatmeal and coffee. Smile

Hope everyone has a great day!

Quality workout today. Some 2 minutes intervals (~500m) at I speed, 1 minute recovery. Going for 6, but I might stop before if form breaks.

            Morning!

Back at work this morning. I finished last week with 70 miles. Only ran 2 last night as we got home late. Tonight, I have 12 on the schedule, with 3x2 miles @ HMP. But first, work.

Only 3.3 miles this morning in order to use the extra time for stretching and rolling. My left hip/glute is on strike again

20,000 miles behind me, the world still to see.

Don't eat fried chicken the meal before a tempo run. I had to cut it short because I felt like I was going to barf. Best tempo though in about 6 months. 6:47/6:42/6:58 pace for final .5 miles.

What it do there, chucko!!  Here is a recap of my runs since yesterday afternoon so pay attention:

Yesterday:  7 easy(ish) miles.  My legs were not happy for the first mile and I considered bagging the run, but we all know you can't judge a run by the first mile.  My legs got loose though and my miles got progressively faster without really pushing hard.  Ended up with a 7:49 avg pace.

This morning:  7 miles at GMP.  7:26 avg pace.  Felt great.  It was CHILLY.  53 degrees and my damn hands froze.  I'm not complaining though!  It's nice to be banging out this many GMP miles so far out from the marathon.  I am happy about that.

I am doubling today.  5-7 mile shakeout after work.  Front loading my miles for the week so I can ease into race weekend.

Welp, it has been confirmed; my easy pace of the 5 and 10k season is officially kaput.  lol

I am okay with it though as there are other objectives at play, chief among them to limit the time spent recovering and to be mentally and physically ready for the very next run.

So far, so good.  Full steam ahead.

Rick, have a beautiful day. Thank you for starting the dailies.

                          Dave, excellent easy eight.

                          Cyberic, awesome intervals.

                          Damaris, enjoy running and lifting.

                          Lily, have a pleasant run.

Shari, 3.3 are cool. I hope that your hip and glute stop protesting soon.

                          Dan, terrific tempo run.

                          Phil, smokin' runs.

The pain in my foot is gone, yay! Last night, I ran for the first time in two weeks. Three sweet and easy miles. Today, I'll do my seventeen-mile long run that should have been done last week. It'll be on the TM because I need to stay close to a bathroom.

I have my first upper respiratory tract infection in months. I'm taking Albuterol to the gym with me.

Yay at the lack of foot pain, Basya!

                              Hi all.

Had the dreaded mile repeats this morning. (Cue ominous music.)

                              3 mile warmup, 3 x 1 mile w/0.35 mile recoveries, 3.25 mile cooldown, 10 miles total.

                              Target splits: 5k pace of ~6:55. Actual: 6:51, 6:50, 6:45. (Oops!)

And thus endeth the Hansons speed workouts. Ye will be truly missed. Seriously - they were kind of fun.

                              Have a good day everyone.

                              Brrrrrrr

                              Uffda

Wow, lots of fine running up in here.

I have 5.2 miles to add to it. It was at an easy pace. I made sure before I left on my run that I put my phone in a good location, with the alarm turned off. Don't want to wake up DW. Smile
