Since FreeSoul87 is a probably on a trail run with her favorite 4 legged companion, I'm posting the April Goals topic.

    For Myself,

    Run 105 miles.

Continue to improve health with lower back treatment

Run below 59 :00 in my 10K race this month as I progress to regain my racing stamina.

I forgot to even post an April Goals lol.  No running for us today, but a 4-6 mile walk is most definitely happening.

      My goals for April?

      • at least 160 miles
      • Stay healthy and injury free
      • have fun
      • more trails
      • oh and more hills

        Try not to get injured.

Run an awesome half on 4/27/14.

        From the Internet.

          1. Continue to not get injured!

          2. 100 miles for the month.

          3. Get better at running hills. My calves are weeping for the foam roller right now and the hills I ran this morning were baby hills. Like really short gentle slopes.

          4. Maybe run 10 miles once? But also stick to the 7-9 range for my long run for a few more weeks, as a nod to item 1.

          Don't call me Buttercup!

            Goals:

            1. Run More

            2. Whine Less

That pretty much covers my plans for the rest of the YEAR, actually. LOL

Slow and steady wins the....  wait a second! I've been lied to!

              2. Run less.

My racing season begins in earnest this month with two chances to improve upon my 5k PB which was set last June in temps in the mid 70's.

My first attempt is on a favorable course and the temps should be favorable as well (I really need to knock that one out of the park).

My second attempt finishes uphill which means I will have to handle my business during the first 2.5 miles then just hold on for the last 1000 meters or so.

Of the 14 events on my season calendar this year I have run 10 of them, so I will find out soon enough if familiarity breeds success.

                      It should be interesting!

We will need visual proof.  Take the LTH approach - take photos.

                          1) Finish out the last two intense weeks of this training cycle strong (including babying the knee I semi-tweaked again tonight - dang)

                          2) Sub-4:00 finish at the Illinois Marathon

20,000 miles behind me, the world still to see.

No special goal. Simply continued training in good health.
