SUNDAILIES Are Bringing the Noise (Read 51 times)

Cool WELCOME TO THE DAILIES THREAD Cool

Anyone and everyone can post your runs, cross-training, abdominal work, rest days, race plans, training questions, etc.. The only stupid question is the one you did not post. There’s a great mix of beginners and veterans, runners and walkers, and maniacs and returners (from injury, to running, to RA). We're all a little crazy here, too! While this thread is a terrific source of motivation for runners and serves as outstanding accountability, you’ll quickly find this remarkable group to be highly supportive of all life experiences. So, come on in, put your feet up, and stay awhile (not literally!) And whoever is up first is welcome to start the thread and we definitely keep some weird hours around here.

In an hour to an hour and a half, I'll head out for my ling run. I don't know how long it'll be. My plan calls for only three miles, but I feel like doing more. Tapering doesn't begin until next week.

Later, I'll do weights, push-ups, and ab work.

        Good morning, Basya.

6.49 miles done.  It was a battle with the wind this morning.

        Run till your hat drips!

Gah. I just looked out the window. It snowed overnight. The sidewalks aren't clear. I'll head to the TM. I'll probably keep it around 5.6mph (10:42), but play with the incline, in order to keep from becoming completely bored.

3 easy done for me.  Freshly fallen snow made the ground a bit slippery, but it helped force my pace to be easy.  I sometimes start to push my pace on the shorter distances these days.

Good morning, ill be heading to the gym In a bit and 3 miles this afternoon.

Robert31320 - Good job on getting those 6.49 in the windy conditions.

BasyaSpiliakos - Sorry you're stuck on the TM for today's run. Good luck with button pushing to keep things interesting.

robinde -  Nice snow run. As long as there's no ice those are fun at times.

Sparker1606 - Enjoy your time at the gym and your 3 later on this afternoon.

I have 15 on the schedule for this afternoon and hope to actually get to see sunshine for a change. I've been running in the dark/indoors/snowstorms for far too long.

2013 Goals: Train smart ... race smarter. FM 3:30 then knock off 5 more minutes 90 seconds for the BQ.

                    Supp!

Not only did it snow a little bit here, it's currently 11 with a wind chill of 4.

Running on that stupid treadmill does not appeal to me at all so I'll layer up and head over to Stoney Creek Metropark, where they usually do a good job of keeping the grounds clear and run there.

Though they also have trails, I'll be running the 6 mile paved loop around Stoney Creek lake, where the wind is usually stiff as hell, but running outside is a treat for me these days so as soon as I find my balls I'll be heading out.

Um, that may take a while....

Happy Super Bowl!  Today will be a ridiculous calorie excess.  BRING IT ON.  I should probably do some cardio today since I blew it off yesterday.  But I need to clean the house and get meatballs crockin'...

Two days until knee surgery.  I miss running.  Reading the weekend dailies can be tough.

Freshly fallen snow here. I'll do my 2 miles later today.

Moving forward one step at a time :-)

Ugh, it snowed here, too.  First run in the new shoes was on the treadmill.  Supposed to do 4, but stopped at 1.  No real pain, which is good, but I did start to feel the knee a bit, so I decided to .  I probably should have taken the day off.  Rest day tomorrow, and hopefully a run on the road Tuesday.

                          Time for coffee.

                          Do you even run?

According to my main man Punxsutawney Phil, happy days will be here again....and right soon.  If you believe in that kind of thing which I don't, unless he predicts an early spring, which he did, which means it probably won't happen, ha!

I misread today's forecast - thought it would be near 50 and sunny. Well, it'll be near 40 and possible rain/snow. I reckon I'll play it by ear. Might do a long run, might not. But I will run!
