Thanks all. I have been training for a half marathon in February. I think the additional mileage has helped soon. I also thinks that it helps that I am trying to be more consistent in doing either internals or a tempo run at least once a week.

    Personal Bests:

    800M - 2:38 (5/28/13) | 1 Mile -5:54 (5/28/13) | 3K - 11:55 (12/29/12) | 2M - 13:00 (12/1/12) | 5K - 20:00 (4/12/13) | 13.1M - 1:37:24 (2/3/13)

    Smaller By The Day

I'm actually working on slowing down my start. I tend to lose more time in mile 2 than I gain in mile 1 if I go out too fast.

Thanks Mitch. I am faster than I ever thought I could get. I am doing great right now. Running very healthy.

          Thanks Pinktastic., lilac, and Aprilrunner.

jneiltt - It was a very good course for a PB. It is very flat and 100% on the street so it is easy to pass people. I ran a race on the west side of White Rock in August and didn't care for that one because it was 100% on cement running trails, harder to pass, and way too many bikes whizzing by. The only thing I don't like about the east side is that it is a pain for me to get to the race.

Your right, there is really no easy way to get to the east side of the lake without 20 different traffic lights. I live north of the lake so it's equal shot to either side for me. I have done a couple of their races and I like them because there not crazy out of control 5K people and they have a good 'chill at the lake' vibe after.

          The bikes are bad.

          You doing RnR?

I don't do the RnR races. I like small races. I am doing either the Texas Half or Stonebridge Ranch Half for my next race.
