According to HuffPo, these are things you need to learn how to do before moving out of your parents' place.  I feel like there are some questionable ones on the list.  I mean, there has to be something more important than hospital corners that needs to be learned.   And no teenager needs to learn how to "buy clothes".  The mall was basically my entire existence as a 18 year old.

Shit, I am elderly according to that list!

You know how to do hospital corners?  I'm not even sure I know what that is.

I guess I fail.  I've never lived in a place with a subway.  I was on one in Europe once, but I was 15 and it was a group effort.  We almost got lost anyway.

It's a certain way to make a bed....I think.  Okay so maybe I am not elderly but pretty damn close to retirement how is that.  lol

I did most of those before moving out of my parent's house!

As part of the 2024 London Marathon, I am fundraising for VICTA, a charity that helps blind and visually impaired children. My mentor while in law school, Jim K (a blind attorney), has been a huge inspiration and an example of courage and perseverance. Please consider donating.

With fitted sheets, I doubt many people do anymore.

I have seen them in so many movies that it seems as though I have.

I would have failed for this reason, also, at 18. In fact, I think I've only been on a subway once and in a cab fewer than 5 times. The travel ones would have stumped me. Unless you wanted me to drive somewhere - I could drive a manual transmission pickup pulling a livestock trailer (maybe not in city traffic). And I not only knew how to check the oil, but also how to change it, though in newer vehicles I wouldn't try it.

20,000 miles behind me, the world still to see.

NO, I HAVE NOT DONE ALL THOSE THINGS!

Well actually I have, but I was just demonstrating my adeptness at #31. Most of the girls I went out in my dating days actually never had a problem with that one either. But I digress.

Well I have done them, doesn't mean I still do them. I WILL NOT iron a shirt. Either it doesn't need to be ironed, or I let the professionals take care of it.
