I ran a hilly half in Feb 2011 in -21 F with blowing snow and 25 mpw winds. It isn't called the Hypo Half for nothing Did it in Feb 2007 with pretty normal winter temps and
it was a much more pleasant experience. It's an expensive race ($80 for the half) and sells out early.
I haven't run it again because I can't wait until last minute to judge the weather and sign up and I have
no intention of every running a half (or any other race) in those temps again.
Lol, temperatures around here the last two days are rare for this area........ I honestly don't remember seeing these temps in my lifetime before now.
kween
It's not clear from the story, but that may be -36C, which is actually around 14F. I think.
Nolite te bastardes carborundum.
Hip Redux
-36C would be -32F (they converge right at -40)
So that's still badass right?
So that's still insane right?
Yes.
And FYP.

He looks cold.
After the ridiculous crazy low temps we have had the past four days, the next time I see a minus sign I may slap the shit of out whoever wrote it!
