Oh sure.  Taunt us with your mountainous terrain.

Over in the Trailer Trash group there is a trail porn thread with some nice pics.  I'll try to dig up some of my midwestern stuff and post it.

Ok, here's a small sample of some representative terrain in my part of the world:

From October 9, 2011 - Sand Lakes Quiet Area

        From October 2, 2011

A wide vista shot (or as much as I can manage from a break in the forest):

I did not take this picture, but this is the sunrise view I've had on my last two Saturdays long runs around the Otay Lakes trail.

This trail is only a couple of miles from my house, and I get to run my first trail half here on the 27th

          Sunrise at Otay Lakes Trail

          Mostly harmless

            Very nice shots all!

Here are a few that I've taken.  All of them were at the C&O Canal National Park.  I am blessed to live about 20 minutes from the park and do almost all of my weekend long runs on this trail.

This is from a few weeks ago.  The snow held off for most of my run but the last 3 or 4 miles looked like this.

This was taken from the Catoctin Aqueduct.  An aqueduct is basically a bridge that is filled with water for boats to use when a canal has to cross another body of water.  This is a view down the Catoctin Creek where it joins the Potomac river.

I happened to be running this portion of the trail across the river from Harper's Ferry West Virginia as a train was crossing the bridge.

              Very nice! Keep'em comin! Smile

Here's a couple of the lake nearby. It's a 2.62 mile loop that I often run...

And here's a couple from the summit of Mt. Tallac in the Tahoe Basin. In this pic, I'm looking across the Desolation Wilderness toward the Crystal Range. The peak on the left is Pyramid Peak from the first picture I posted in this thread...

And this view looking down on Lake Tahoe proper...

Love these shots. Keep em coming.

                  Wish I had some.

Trail running is dumb.  And dangerous.  And you can't run as fast.  I would advise you to stay off the trails.

+1 for sure.  The trail race pictures are the best!
