    Overall

OK it will probably never happen again, but even if it is only just this once, I actually won. Well apart from the speedy female in front of me.

I chose the 3 hour as it is a time that allows you to 'count' it for half fanatic races.

The 6 hour option was undoubtedly more competitive on this day.

For comparison though, the 12 hour last fall, I was 4th overall and 2nd male.

*Insert jokes about my place of employment teaching me to run round in circles*

But I did take AG bling in a race last Saturday as well. After a rough start to the year physically, I'm back to nearly where I ended 2013, and should actually be fitter than ever come the year's end.

This was my 4th timed race. I have a 5th planned for November, doing the 12 hour then most likely.

                              Love the Half

Look, there are none of us that would be even remotely competitive against some Olympic caliber field so none of us really get to brag about a win.  Having said that, and having one precisely one race in my life, it is really, really sweet.  Enjoy the hell out of it.  Brag away and don't apologize for a second.

                                Short term goal: 17:59 5K

                                Mid term goal:  2:54:59 marathon

Long term goal: To say I've been a runner half my life.  (I started running at age 45).
