L&O used to stand for Letters and Opinions. They are known for harshing on noobs who post idiotic questions, getting banned, and secretly being really good runners. Join in the fun, but bring your thick skin. They're good people, for the most part.

"L&O" is just a bunch of opinions and occasionally, a letter.
I do not participate in the mileage games here, just as I did not participate in them at RWOL.
L&O (Letters & Opinions) was a forum on RWOL that was conducive to non-running-related topics, such as the latest movies or music, the hottest actresses, the best beers, or the random amusement of life in general. L&O had a reputation for being an unfriendly place where people targeted out new posters and made fun of them. Ever so often, Beginner's Forum would take a break from being unfriendly to one another and poking fun at new visitors in order to talk about how mean L&O people were.
*ahem*
L&O and BF were both pretty cool places with cool people, for the most part, and one had to approach both of them with a relaxed frame of mind that assumed goodwill and understood that it is just as much one's responsibility not to be offended as it is one's responsibility not to offend.
Nobody leaves this place without singing the blues.
L&O is like the BF without running discussions, except the people are generally more psychologically stable and therefore, are less likely to attack others for trivial crap and cause a 300+ post runaway train wreck of idiocy in the process.
