So the 2013 Miles Game is over? Who won?

Good question.  We usually just look at weekly posts and quarterly summaries, and don't pay much attention to year-end totals.  Just for fun I pulled the quarter-end summaries from the results threads posted on 4/4/13, 7/4/13, 10/3/13, and 1/2/14.  I am going to total up the points and will post the teams' total points for the year in a little bit.

So here are the highly unscientific year-end point totals.  I have listed the totals for each calendar quarter and added them up.  And I have shown my work; feel free to check and make sure I used the calculator properly.  You may be able to nit-pick and find flaws in the methodology.  The composition of the teams has changed regularly throughout the year, and as the number of game participants fluctuated we changed our weekly ranking system from ranking by total miles per team, to ranking by average miles per team (total team miles divided by number of runners).  That said, here are the year-end point totals and rankings (drum roll please):

          #1 M.R.T. 100 + 153 + 163 + 169 = 585 points

          #2 Happy Feet 168 + 159 + 156 + 98 = 581

          #3 4midable 151 + 83 + 104 + 113 = 451

          #4 Hillkillers 106 + 78 + 99 + 114 = 397

          #5 Luckylegs 89 + 105 + 83 + 115 = 392

          #6 Corredores 107 + 112 + 84 + 73 = 376

          #7 Margaritaville Miles 105 + 88 + 98 + 62 = 353

          #8 Free Agents 51 + 127 + 71 + 78 = 327

          #9 Triple Digits 60 + 59 + 89 + 114 = 322

          #10 Kickin' Asphalt 62 + 61 + 104 + 58 = 285

          #11 Phoenix Rising 76 + 63 + 49 + 65 = 253

          #12 Sole Train 45 + 61 + 56 + 90 = 252

          #13 Pavement Pounders 63 + 34 + 27 + 34 = 158

Congratulations to M.R.T for taking first place. Please take a victory lap.  And congratulations to all participants in the Miles Game!

No, please don't.  You should rest.  Maybe have a beer.  Relax a little. You've earned it.

Congratulations to M.R.T for taking first place. Please take a victory lap.
