A Little Hill (Read 93 times)

Are we there, yet?

According to my Garmin, I ran a small hill on this lap:

    A Little Hill

No wonder the lap time was so slow. Big grin

    Go figure

Sometimes I forget when I pull my pick and climbing gear out on a run too!

Garmin is frequently good for some entertainment.  I was running next to a hill and Jeepus put me instantly jumping about a hundred feet up the hill followed soon thereafter by jumping off a bridge to the mean water level of the river I was crossing.

          Short term goal: 17:59 5K

          Mid term goal:  2:54:59 marathon

Long term goal: To say I've been a runner half my life.  (I started running at age 45).

I fell off this cliff once on a run:

Mine shows me as going below sea level when I leave the house and some weird hills in FLAT land.  Ha.

As part of the 2024 London Marathon, I am fundraising for VICTA, a charity that helps blind and visually impaired children. My mentor while in law school, Jim K (a blind attorney), has been a huge inspiration and an example of courage and perseverance. Please consider donating.

On one 6-miler, it had miles 2-6 each around my typical ~8:30 pace, with mile 1 at 6-something.

I am just going to assume the Garmin was correct.

If you want to talk about some speedy running:

Just look at that little surge at 194.6 mph or 0:18.5 pace. And that was during my recent marathon. No wonder I burned out early. Big grin

You know, you should really try to stay on asphalt whenever possible.  Concrete and brick are not foot friendly.  Wink
