WELCOME TO THE DAILIES THREAD!
Anyone and everyone can post your runs, cross-training, abdominal work, rest days, race plans, training questions, etc. The only stupid question is the one you did not post. There’s a great mix of beginners and veterans, runners and walkers, and maniacs and returners (from injury, to running, to RA). We're all a little crazy here too! While this thread is a terrific source of motivation for runners and serves as outstanding accountability, you’ll quickly find this remarkable group to be highly supportive of all life experiences. So, come on in, put your feet up and stay awhile (not literally)! And whoever’s up first is welcome to start the thread (and we definitely keep some weird hours around here
I AM WEEZER.
for some reason it won't let me type unless I put a smiley first (go figure)
Heading out soon to meet up with the group for a LR between 18 and 20; at least it's not raining like it was yesterday at this time.
Have a GREAT Sturday everyone!

Run Long, Hard, and Fast
Good morning fellow runners! I ran 7 miles @ 7:58 pace last night. Today is a SRD. Tomorrow I am shooting for 10 miles. That will be my longest run since coming back. I should be able to do it without a problem... I hope.
I have HM and Marathon on my mind for 2013. It would be cool to have a BQ in my resume. For my age I think it is 3:25. I want to know of a training plan I can follow to run a HM in the Spring. If the HM is at the end of April, when should I start a training plan? I think I have a good base already so I should be able to follow a pretty advanced plan.
I am also thinking of losing 10 pounds in the meantime. I think it will be easier to carry less weight over those distances. I am 6'1" and 180 pounds. It will be a hard sell with my DW because she doesn't want me to get any smaller. If I do it slowly though, she may not notice. 3 years ago I weighed 244. I was also going to the gym and doing free weights. I was rather bulky and now 3 years later I have turned into Mr. Slim Runner. I like the new me better. I have more energy and I feel much better health wise.
Have a great day! Run long, hard, and fast! God bless you all!

Good morning early risers.
Off to the races! Good luck to the other racers today.
Fear is a Liar
Good Morning Dailies!
Yesterday was my gym routine to which I added weight and a third set - definitely feeling it this morning. I also did what I call "rotisserie" Planks. I start facing down in the traditional position and rotate 90 degrees every minute. So it's front, side, back, side, done in 4 minutes.
Good luck racers!
I'm so vegetarian I don't even eat animal crackers!
not lazy, just tired
Good luck Flippy!
Good luck c0derunner!
And good luck to anyone else racing.
Ski season has started for me so it's getting harder to fit in the running. I have to figure this out better. Hopefully once my body is used to the skiing being back in the mix, I can add some running in after skiing. I'm planning on 6.5 easy ish miles this morning.
Not if it makes sense.
Morning! 6 miles tonight.
Good luck, Flippy! Good luck c0derunner!

As part of the 2024 London Marathon, I am fundraising for VICTA, a charity that helps blind and visually impaired children. My mentor while in law school, Jim K (a blind attorney), has been a huge inspiration and an example of courage and perseverance. Please consider donating.

SUS - I am doing a Pfitzinger plan for my spring half. I will start it 14 weeks out from my half, which is on April 28th....so January 21st. When is the HM you want to do?

'Ello, 'ello! Happy Weekend! HOORAY WEEKEND!
I already got in my run today. 8 mile speed session on the treadmill. Not good but a great workout today. 1/4 mile intervals, going fast, faster, fastest, repeat. I even sniffed a 5:59 interval for the first time ever. Pretty cool. 7:51 avg pace. (edit: I tried posting a link to the run in my log but apparently I suck at that. Oh well.) This also wraps up my 6th 50 mile week in a row. I may end that this week though and do a little cutback week.
Lots of running around to do today. Looking forward to dinner and SKYFALL with DW and friends tonight. Have a great day, runners!

Morning Dailies friends!
LR is done - and 70% of it was in a steady downpour - it was one of those runs where as soon as you start it you want it to be over.
Time for breakfast and some coffee.
