Bainbridge Island Cross Country

Welcome to Bainbridge High School Cross Country's online running journal!

  • Enter your daily workouts.  Mileage hiked as a workout counts, just note it as hiking. Mileage walked around the BHS campus doesn't.
  • Experiment with your running log and it's features.  You can do very quick and simple entries.  Or you can get fancy.
  • If you'd like to add a different type of workout, such as Deep Water Run or Strength+Speed, click the Options button, upper right.  Then go to Manage My Activities where you can customize your types of workouts.
  • The most important thing is to track your mileage by the weekly totals.
  • Your weekly totals should gradually increase, by 2-4 miles per week during the first month of XC season.  Increasing your weekly mileage too quickly can lead to lack of recovery and injury.
  • Some weeks we will stay even in our mileage in order to recovery more fully.
  • At the end of the season, our mileage will decrease a bit as we taper, and prepare to race our fastest.

Once you get set up, this running journal can help you track your progress and identify your improvements.  Nice work!
