After completely cleaning and servicing my bike I'm pretty sure the noise I'm hearing is from my shoes. They're old and made from a combination of leather, fabric and plastic. I notice it when I walk in them and while riding. Any tips on how to treat them?

MTA: I think I may have fixed them. A few drops of chain lube on the metal hoops for the velcro fasteners did the trick.
