OK, having a Brompton is a kinda like having a puppy. People come up to you and talk about it. People looking at it. It's very is noticeable. More than I expected.

I've taken it on about 8 trips on public transit so far and people keep talking to me. Today I had to talk with 4 people. In a way it's a great ambassador for cycling. It puts a smile on people's faces and they seem to view the bike in a different light. It's practicality is clearly evidant.

The downside is trying to fold it in the presence of aggressive panhandlers... Next time that happens I'm going to just ride on.

Nothing about it makes you want to ride fast. It's kinda like 2X running speed. It's ok. I'm saving lots of time overall having it on every end of the commute. I've never been passed by so many other cyclists.
