After mile 2 it was flat rail trail.  Finished 2nd male master and 1st in AG.  Sunny and in the mid 30's at the start.  Warmed up nice.  Was also my first time to race at under 160lbs.  Weighed in at 158.  Hopefully I squeeze a little more  improvement into this year.  I have two more races, a flat 10-miler in December and a 5k on New Years Eve.  Time this more broke a PR that held since 2007.

Congratulations on a nice PR - and on the placements.

It's a 5k. It hurt like hell...then I tried to pick it up. The end.

        Nice, P2R!

        Monster weekend, Perry!

Very nice work on the 10k, Bryan! You've been doing so well this year, I bet your next races will be really good.

Yeah, Perry runs Marine Corps Marathon on absolutely no taper at all. Nice job, dude. Training run?

I got in 10.8 miles outside on Saturday, beautiful day and the bike paths were in good shape. Then it snowed last night. Nothing like what the East Coasties got, but enough that I didn't want to deal with it. So I ran 14 miles on the treadmill. Not sure which was worse actually... slogging around in the new snow, or what I did on the treadmill. Oh well, it's done and glad of it.

Thanks guys; it was supposed to be a training run. Thought I'd either go faster or it would be easy -- turned out neither happened. Apparently running a marathon still hurts (even if you call it a training run). Who'd've guessed? Smile

All I saw of snow was some snow on cars in the metro parking lot. But our first bridge was icy and everyone was shuffling over it -- that was kind of funny.

It's a 5k. It hurt like hell...then I tried to pick it up. The end.

I was considering pulling a Perry and doing a marathon next month, but my piriformis pain is getting worse every day.  I've never had it before.  It started about 2 miles into my marathon this month.

I ran a couple of times last week and it's ok a couple of miles in (ok meaning bearable), but it hurts alllllll day.  I've been doing a stretch I found on the internet.  I'm not sure whether to stop running, or to just take it easy running and stop every mile or so to get more of a stretch in while my muscles are warm.
