Who's racing in the next few weeks?
This weekend is the Derby Greenway 5K, several Earth Day Races, the Meriden Daffodil 5K, and the UCONN EcoHusky 5000 challenge - probably one of the toughest 5K courses I've ever run.
Next weekend brings us no less than 38 races, including the Cheshire Half Marathon, the Run at Rentschler, and New Haven's Run4Africa, as well as the continuation of the Roxbury Race Series, which goes all summer long, with a race just about every weekend.
So, who is signed up for a race soon?

Yep, tons o' races to choose from. Unfortunately (or fortunately) I'm going to Disney 27th to 5th, so that takes out two weekends. And there's so many good races Mothers Day weekend...but it's MOTHERS DAY and that tends to take the focus off us pops.
Definitely doing Sprint for Monroe June 3. New Milford twilight run that Friday is faster, with better competition, but I just like that Monroe course for some reason.
Still looking for a May race. Either run for Haiti in Ridgefield or just the Roxbury race that same weekend (may 18).

Hey, I'll be there the 1st to the 7th! Staying at the Kidani Village thanks to our Vacation Club friend.
Stil no running for me. 19 more days until I can start up again, and then it'll be very gradual. This is the second year in a row I'm missing the spring races, as last year I was in marathon training and the races didn't jive with my training schedule. I'll be back to running some solid miles by mid-summer and I'm hoping to salvage some of the fall race season. I'm already signed up for the Hogsback Half and I'm going to do the Hartford Half as well.
I can't even begin to tell you how much I miss running and racing, and I've only been a runner for two years.
