Sandy Hook 5k - sold out in less than 24 hours (Read 7 times)

Whoa. I know it's a very emotional and local cause, but whoa - when's the last time a local 5k race sold out (1500 spots) in less than a day? Crazy. Fortunately, my wife reminded me about it, and I got in yesterday.

Wow!  I am so glad you were able to register for your hometown race.  And it is pretty neat that so many people want to be involved in such a productive way to remember the tragedy and support the town.  Hopefully next year they can expand the field size.

We did the SH 5K the first year they did it - in Hartford.   Probably one of my favorite events, such a great outpouring of support for the community.
