Sixpoint (Read 510 times)

Prince of Fatness

Anyone had it?  Sixpoint is a brewery in Brooklyn and some of their beer started showing up on the shelves of the package stores in my area.  The beer comes in 4 packs of 16 oz cans.  This one in particular was mighty tasty......

    Mmmmm.  Rye.

Sixpoints Sweet Action is my go to beer at my local pub. Last night they were offering a new one that the bartender described as "smoky". I wonder if that's the stout they're talking about here.

Not your average stout.  Not quite as roasty, and it has a bit of hop bitterness to it.  Very tasty though.

Hmmm.  I will have to be on the lookout for this.

Quite possibly the best coffee beer that I have had.  Gorilla Warfare Porter.  Simply delicious.  Sadly they do not can this one.

This was named appropriately.  Sixpoint continues to impress.....

I really hope the 16oz cans start to take off.  Brewery Vivant in GR does ONLY cans, outside of their available brews at the brewpub.  Really great option for shower beer or in areas where glass bottles are a bad idea (like on the beach or on a boat).  They are so much easier to fit in coolers and in the fridge, too.

Neat!  The other bonus of cans, as I see from that site, is the potential for some really excellent "label" design with all that extra real estate!

This did not disappoint.  Nice to try something not hoppy from Sixpoint.
