      To me it looks like marketing hype for a typical premium american lager (see http://www.bjcp.org/styles04/Category1.html#style1C for a description). I didn't see anything about the beer itself, only about "Chopper".

        That was kind of my impression, too. One would think that something associated with Chopper would be a lot more hardcore and unique. Tongue k

            That's probably pretty good, but I would never pay $160 for a case of beer. (AU$160->US$140). One competition I had to judge barley wines. After tasting 10 or 12 homebrewed barley wines, I was about done. Some of them were pretty good, I recall... but not all of them.

              I've had a hard time appreciating the barley wines...of course I've only tried one: Old Foghorn. Being an Anchor Brewing variety, it's probably a good one? Anyway, think I paid $14 for a 6-pack. 4 of them remain in the frig - well, if anyone here is ever in my area and happen to stop by and like barley wine beer, I've got 4 with your name on it. Modified to correct some spelling
