~4oz. of room-temperature brat beer that wouldn't fit in the pot.  It really wasn't as bad as I remembered from college keggers...

Why would you make brats with the Beast?

Why would you make brats with the Beast?

Because that's how brats are supposed to be made...with beer that is not fit for drinking + onions and Tabasco sauce.  Yummy!  It gives crap beer a higher purpose. Big grin

All beer is fit for drinking.

          Except maybe Leine's berry wheat.

Mostly true.  I am not picky about beer when it's free, though I do like when it is more beer than beer-flavored carbonated water.  But beer that tastes like cheap beer mixed with Kool-Aid...not so much.  I probably wouldn't buy Beast to sit and drink--if I'm going to drink calories I'd prefer the really tasty kind.  Those 24oz cans of Beast are really convenient for making brats.  We used the better part of 3 of them.

The trick is to crack open something yummy and preferably on the strong side while you put everything together for the brats. That leftover bad beer tastes just fine as a second course.

Unemployment has me drinking canned Pabst.

                        It is serving me well.

That Mickeys looks to be an export to Scotland. And old. Man. Haven't had one of them in probably two decades.

I haven't had a Mickeys in quite some time either.  That was one of my staple college beers.  I could get two 40 ounce bottles for less than $2.50 at Krogers.

                          Not at it at all.

Yeah I think it's a nostalgia thing for me as well, because it is kinda nasty.

My brother, is always buying "real" Shlitz.    It's actually not that bad.

people out here have been drinking a lot of PBR's and Natty Boh's.  Yuck!

My favorite "summer" lowered standard beer is Corona, but who the flock wants to pay $20 for a twelve pack?  What, is Corona high class now ?  I'd rather drink something good , at that price....
