I did not know that Victory had one, but have seen one in person at Troegs.  I knew that beer keeps pretty well when filled from these machines but my buddy opened a growler this past weekend that he had filled Thanksgiving weekend (Impending Descent stout, yum).  So that is 4 months.  Hissed when he opened it, and the beer was well carbed and tasted fresh.  I am thinking that the shelf life of an unopened growler goes out quite a ways.

From what I hear these machines are pricey but they are hands free and there is absolutely no beer wasted.  I have had growler fills is some places and it looked like they wasted a good pint just because of all of the foam.

That's pretty cool. Wish some of the breweries around here had one. I usually never pick up more than one growler unless I know I'll be sharing. If I knew it would last I'd be more inclined to pick up more than one.

Further confirmation on this.  This past weekend we drank a growler of Master of Pumpkins that my buddy had filled at Troegs late last fall.  Well carbed and perfectly drinkable after at least 6 months.
