Yep, My brother in law invited me to do the Oklahoma City Marathon on 4.29.09 with him. Not sureI can be ready in time. If I can get my Miles up to 40-45 by the end of year and hold it there until February, I would feel more confident.

Awesome pic! This is you, too, right?

Good luck if you do an April marathon...I don't know that I could ever do a Spring one, between Winter training and my seasonal allergy issues. Spring is usually a rough time for me.

Yes. Anyone who still looks that good after 13.1 miles wasn't running hard enough. Evil grin

I ran with a friend who didn't train as much as he should have. He really struggled to finish, said his body just wanted to quit on him. I think if I had run it by myself, I could have come in around 2:10 and would have looked a little more worked over...

So are you gonna run GR in 2009? or back to the state of cheese?

Depends upon whether DH bikes in Death Valley, again (same weekend as GR and Detroit). The JDRF is adding a late August ride in Vermont for '09, which is a bit intriguing. He'll go wherever the West MI team decides to go. If that weekend is free I'd definitely do GR (or maybe Detroit...I'd love it if we had a bit RA group at one of those races).

I wouldn't mind Milwaukee again, though. I REALLY liked that race. And the finish area is worlds better than GR for mingling post-race. They have a big beer tent with fantastic free Milwaukee Ale House beer (in HUGE cups) and bleachers at the finish for spectators. Plus the last few miles are in sight of Lake MI. The crowd support can't be beat, either. Cheeseheads are awesome! Big grin

People have been saying great things about Columbus, too, so that's another one on my radar.
