Wild Rover Series (Read 811 times)

Well you don't have to register through active.com now, you can print out an app and mail it in. Only problem is it costs more than registration through active, the mail-in fee is listed at $70.00. So there is NO way to pay the series fee of $60.00 as listed on the site. WTF? I'm guessing this is to encourage registration through active.com and maybe to make it look like a good deal? No thanks, as much as I would like to run the series I'm going to pass.

Cry havoc and let slip the dawgs of war!

May the road rise to meet you, may the wind be always at your back, may the sun shine warm upon your SPF30, may the rains fall soft upon your sweat-wicking hat, and until you hit the finish line may The Flying Spaghetti Monster hold you in the hollow of His Noodly Appendage.

You're not going to run it, yet your image is being used in the article that promotes it. Weird....... http://www.coolrunning.com/engine/1/1_31/11270.shtml

      upcoming races:

Who is Race Director Jay Karamourtopoulos? I thought this was a Dave Camire/Yankee Timing production. I just hate the bait and switch crap of "here's the series fee" and then tacking on a processing fee. Lots of races do it, but I still hate it. If any of youse guys is running it, I might drop by one or two or three of 'em. One of these days I gots to get me a cowbell. Clowning around

Baddawg I am And if you don't show up I'll have to find someone else to give my beers to.

"If you run, you are a runner. It doesn't matter how fast or how far. It doesn't matter if today is your first day or if you've been running for twenty years. There is no test to pass, no license to earn, no membership card to get. You just run."

THAT would be a crying shame. I'll do my best. Big grin

Hey BadDawg - Don't you have some sort of obligation to run the Hynes since a picture of your mug adorns the race website?? Least you can do is show up for that one. Wink
I don't think Dave is going to get much in the way of same day registrations...why won't this Winter just go away?
