Is there anyway to "clean up" the user group. We started this in 2007 when I was challenged by my sister and brother. Bob, the "owner" of the list got injured, and hasn't run since. Needless to say he hasn't logged in to RA since.
Thought I could start a simple list with names and goal times so people can have some virtual training partners.

Grandmas Marathon
Fall Marathon - Twin Cities??
Great Idea! I'd love to connect with some others that are running this one.
This will be my first Grandma's and my 3rd marathon.
My goal is nice weather. little humidity, nice and cool at the start. I am partial to mid 40's myself.
but if you are talking time goals, I guess I would fit in around 4:15

Fifth Grandma's (I think). Loads of marathons and ultras before. Grandma's is rarely a goal race for me, but more of one of convenience since I always up there. It is usually fun!

I'm running somewhere tomorrow. It's going to be beautiful. I can't wait.
Poor baby
In for the half with my 15 and 19 y/o sons.
Hoping to book a room somewhere in the next couple of weeks (hoping for some cancellations)...
And you can quote me as saying I was mis-quoted. Groucho Marx

Trent, is there a benefit of being the "owner" of a user group. If so, how do we get it changed over if the owner is no longer a RA person.
The current owner has to leave (and can return if s/he wants) and assign ownership to one of the other members. Upon leaving, RA will prompt the reassignment.
You will not be able to delete threads, but you will be able to sticky newer ones.
Or you could just start a new 2011 Grandma's Marathon group.
Thought about that also. There is some nice forums from before, and thought this could be kept going for future Grandma's
sticky newer ones?
Sticky new ones and those that are important. I like the idea of keeping the old group active since there are repeaters and since many old threads have info.
yeah, there are some good discussions from past years that are nice to look back on.
I think only forum owners/administrators can make a thread a "sticky". Once a thread is designated as a Sticky, it always remains at the top, even if other threads get posted on. Can't you contact Eric about making changes to who has administrative powers in a group? or ownership abilities?
by the way tcmna - I noticed you are in St. Cloud. When I come back to MN this summer, I'll be staying not too far from you. And both my parents went to college in St. Cloud. My dad is still a huge Husky hockey fan. After my bro and I graduated HS in the cities they moved to the chain of lakes out west of you, but my dad's business was located right in St.Cloud. I'm sure when we are back there, we won't even recognize the area as it's probably really grown.
eta: I see the new thread you started with participants. If you are wanting PR's, you can put me in as a marathon PR of 4:16 from June 2010.
Done. What number marathon? 1st GM?
3rd marathon,
1st GM
