DaVincie's closed last year.
I'm running somewhere tomorrow. It's going to be beautiful. I can't wait.
Poor baby
That shows you how often I get out.

I read somewhere that the nature center at EWP can be rented out, which might be cool. Or expensive and complicated and non-alcoholic.

How about Pizza Perfect (Bellevue location) ? Or maybe that would be too busy.
How do you keep your feet on the ground, when you know you were born to fly?
break'n three
In it for the long run..
What about Buca in Cool Springs? Easier travel than Mt. Juliet for most. Might be expensive.

It is environmental to fear owls.
And once again Mr. Wizard (aka: Stevie Ray) explains the internet.

There's a new contender, Mirko Pasta on Demonbreun. New place, can seat about 80 of us. And it has "Pasta" right in the name. We have option of menu service or putting together some type of buffet. Probably about $10-$12/ person either way. The seating is similar to what we had at Poppy's last year. Mix of booths and tables. Not what I consider ideal, but not bad. Plus, the owner is a former track athlete (javelin and steeplechase) and ran the Women's Half last year.
There's a hockey game that night which makes most places downtown unavailable. Went in Big River yesterday (not a pasta place per se, but I just wanted to see what they had.) Their layout in their back rooms is ideal, but they wanted a $3700 guarantee. So over $40/person.
Another idea I had was to start dinner a little sooner wherever we have it, and spread the time out a little bit. That way those who go to packet pickup early and then want to eat can right away can do so, and the lollygaggers can show up whenever they want. That may allow a place to seat more people.
Keep the ideas coming.
The tangents are moot.
Set the bar low. Crawl under it.
Mirko sounds good.
Looking into the JCC as well.
JCC certainly would be easiest.
I wonder where The Zoo people/Purity people got their pasta? As I recall there was a mac & cheese option and pasta with marinara option at both.
That or we can descend on Trent's house and let Ellie deal with it
What about Bricks on Nolensville Rd (Between Old Hickory Blvd and Concord Rd) they have a side room as well as an outside patio (with heaters) or Bricks on Franklin Rd in Brentwood.
I am rather hesitant to suggest ... Coco's Italian restaurant and market. It's on 51st avenue North. The prices are reasonable, food is good ... I just think they are in a shitty part of town. It's off Charlotte.
I'm glad I don't have to carbo load. Just have to get my cameras ready and take lotsa pictures.
