This weekend (9/26 - 9/28) (Read 28 times)

Hey, Happy Trails Runners!

I'm planning to coach a soccer game for one of my boys' teams, hopefully finish in time to watch the other game, and then on Sunday start putting up a chimney with my brother-in-law. We may only get the base done this weekend, though. We already got some wood delivered, so it's time to get the stove in! I didn't yet bring any in from the fields, but will hopefully work on that in the months to come too.

How about you guys? What's doing? Anyone doing anything fun this weekend?

Hello Portland!
I'm out near Seattle visiting my parents. My wife and i drove out to Portland and found a place to live, but it isn't ready until Oct 1. So we drove up here. Have been hiking with my folks, did a little mushroom hunting/eating, and my dad and i went biking this morning. He's crazy. It was some serious off-road style mountain biking. I had so much fun!

Going to watch the debates....
Ah, there's nothing more exciting than science. You get all the fun of sitting still, being quiet, writing down numbers, paying attention...Science has it all. -Skinner
I watched the debates too, but was wishing I still had some beer in the fridge by the end of the first hour!

That's great that you are able to get out there with your folks. I went canoeing with my dad a couple years ago, but it's usually difficult to coax him out. I'll have to try harder.

Today marks day 1 of 100-pushup training!

Good luck, Chris, with the move--enjoy the new place!

Hello Portland!
Oh man, i should try to get back into the push-up training again. When summer came, i wasn't running as much, and so got out of the habit of doing my push ups after my run.
Hopefully i'll find some fun trails in Portland and will get some nice autumn weather to run it. And who knows? maybe start it up again.
