Bob's ankle surgery (Read 30 times)

Here's hoping your recovery goes well. I'm glad to read that you're already walking on it.
You are a runner
Hello Portland!
Whoa, holy-crap! I had no idea you needed surgery Bob. I saw you were back running after Boston, and though maybe you were working through it.
Well i hope this does the trick. Good to see you're already out walking on it.

Keeping good thoughts for you,
Chris
Ah, there's nothing more exciting than science. You get all the fun of sitting still, being quiet, writing down numbers, paying attention...Science has it all. -Skinner
Can't sneak anything past you guys! Roll eyes

Thank you Carl, thank you Chris! It's actually feeling very good. It's like having a thorn stuck in you for a long time, and then finally having the thorn pulled out. The thorn in this case was a lump and some scar tissue that was on one of the tendons. So every time I flexed my foot back and forth, the tendon would rub on the lump and get irritated.

Yeah, post Boston it was feeling good enough to run on, so I decided to go out with a bang and run as much as I could before the surgery. But even by the end of that week, it was starting to hurt again. So it's good to have this done with.

I'll give some running a shot this weekend. The only thing that seems to somewhat bother me now are the stitches, which come out in 10 more days.

Carl, it's good to see a few more bars showing up on your training log! Chris, you seem to be chugging along nicely! Keep up the great work, fellas!

Thank you again. I appreciate the thoughts! Smile

I had no idea you were having surgery either! Ai-yai-yai! But glad to hear it went so well and that you can run again soon. Must be such a relief, as you mentioned. Healing thoughts!!!
