Ok...I just wanted to set up a group for Minnesota runners from all over the state. I didn't really see one that was for that purpose. Click on my profile and you can read a little about me. Looking forward to getting to know some more people that love to run!
Hi! I'm up in Duluth, I should be working but instead I am browsing the forums. Happy to see a Minnesotan group. Smile

Hi, I am in the cities. I am glad that a group was created.
Anybody doing the Get in Gear 10k in Minneapolis on April 26th? I'm doing the 5k with my sister and then my daughters are doing the 2k. I wanted to do the 10k but my sister isn't ready for that yet so I'm hanging back with her.

No, because I have a trip planned through april. do you come to the cities often did you sign up for any other races in the cities Good Luck
It depends...my sister lives in Mounds View so I go up there quite a bit and I shop in Woodbury sometimes. I like to do the races up in the cities just because there are more of them. I have one race in my town a year. That's in June so of course I'll be doing that one. I'm also doing a half marathon in October in Ashland, WI.
Thanks for starting a MN group. I'm in South St. Paul. Enjoyed todays nice weather with a run along the Mississippi.
I got outside for a run today as well. It was awful nice!! I'm currently laid off from my job at a title insurance company (go figure) so I've had a lot of time the past couple of months to get myself back in shape but I usually just do the treadmill run for an hour. Running outside is soooo much more rewarding. I did 3.5 miles in my little town going up and down the streets....gotta love the Forerunner!
Coming soon, no hats or long pants...
And you know sometimes it gets so painful Just like talking to yourself When everything don't seem to have no rhyme or reason We all go Do do loo do do, do do loo do do Waiting for the sun to shine

Hey! I'm a Minnesota ex-pat in California. If it's okay with you guys, I'd love to troll your group. Born and raised in Minneapolis, lived in St. Paul and Minneapolis after college before moving to Oakland. Okay if I join you, for old times' sake?

                        Call me Ray (not Ishmael)

Oh sure!!!! No problem obiebyke. There are days...like today when it's the 31st of March and there are several inches of snow on the ground that I wish I was a transplant to CA!!! Please...please let it be spring!!!!!

I was killing some time trying to justify going to the community center and running inside, and I read the above post. Grabbged my pants and HTFU'd and ran with the dogs outside today. My feet wouldn't have gotten as wet if I'd ran a route with more sidewalks, as the roads were slush and the sidewalks snow. Live and learn. I love running in "bad" weather.

Hi Melanie, Thanks for setting this group up. Good luck with Get in Gear - it's such a fun race! I've run it a couple of times but won't be able to this year Sad

Only 26.2 miles more to go.
