I'm looking for a couple good races in the March-May time frame and want to hear about some good ones. Here is what I am looking for: 1) 5K to say 10 mile range 2) Cheap, hopefully $20 or less 3) Entrance fee is for a charity 4) In the TC area 5) Nice fun race/course Thanks

You could checkout http://www.charitieschallenge.org/ They put on races that are around Lake Como in St Paul. Fairly lowkey and fun. Each one supports a different topic (so to speak). I know that they have a March and an April race.

And you can quote me as saying I was mis-quoted. Groucho Marx

Hi Egge, A couple of spring charity runs that I would recommend are the Run the Valley 5k/10k in Golden Valley, which benefits Golden Valley Human Services, and Get Your Rear in Gear 5k (in Edina), which benefits the Colon Cancer Coalition. Both are fun, well-run events for good causes with very reasonable entry fees if you pre-register. I would also recommend checking out the race calendars on AppleRaceberryjam and Running in the USA to find other races that interest you. http://www.raceberryjam.com/indexrr.html http://www.runningintheusa.com/RacesByState.asp?State=MN

Only 26.2 miles more to go.

Thanks guys. Holly, I knew about both of those sites, but thanks. I just wanted to hear from people who had actually run in those races. Thanks for your suggestions.
