Anyone read a copy of the new version yet?  If so, would you say there's a lot of new information in it that wasn't in earlier versions, or is it just "tweaked" here and there but substantially the same as older versions.  In short, is it worth dropping the coin for the new version if I already have an older one or should I wait for it to show up in my library to take a look at it?

Good question. Most of his books contain the same core material. He's probably not changing his tune. much, though will include any new breakthroughs in science he finds relevant. Maybe a new case study or two. I would love to see a book of just case histories.

From Dr. Phil's website forum (not my question this time, I promise):

If we have the older edition of the book, should we still get the new one?

Hi,
the new book contains much more information, and virtually all the chapters have been updated/revised.

The cynic in me thinks that this is, of course, just what he would say.  Still, at 364 pages it seems the new edition MUST have a good bit of new information.  Get it now or wait for the combined "Training & Eating for Endurance" later this year?  Decisions, decisions.....

I almost got it, but decided to wait.  I really disliked the watered down Maffetone Method vs. the High Performance Heart so I'm going to wait for one that includes more nutrition information.

I think the new combined "Training & Eating for Endurance" should fit that bill.  I am inclined to hold off for that.  I don't have either of those books but already have an earlier version of "In Fitness and in Health."
