This thread is for drawings or collages made of your mapped courses from your Garmin or whatever course software you use. I challenge the rest of you to have some fun and post some creations. I'll start with my first piece of GPS art. It was a struggle.. I felt a lot of pain doing this. But I think it represents...

Ironically, Just this morning I maffed along near a mini carnival on Rick's Landing (Omaha riverfront). The roadies?, patrolling the "Tilt-a Whirl" startled me. I could have sworn that I was all alone admiring the magnificent hardware. Had I asked for a quick spin, somehow I'm sure they would have obliged!

The Mary-Go-Round looked fun.

Why it's a Y chromosome of course! Looking for an X, and little does it know, it's in Missouri way over there.

BTW, LG, I put you on the moon, positioned to the right,, representing the right brain, not any political bent. I am floating in space to represent my current state of homesteadlessness.

I'm more reminded of Casey Kasem's "America's Top Forty" and his tagline "Keep your feet planted firmly

on the ground, but keep reaching for the stars", or something to that effect?

Cosmologically speaking, wouldn't Buddo (Uranus), Astrogirl, NovaNick, et al. deserve a loftier orbit? Or

maybe they've just dropped in for a visit. This happens, I'm told!

Re the chromosome thing; "All my Xs Live in Texas" ("That's wh(y) I hang my hat in Tennessee")

...Life, swimming upstream, can be a lot like a country song.

I put all the names together from the "expose" thread. As I plowed through, I would come across names that haven't posted in a long time, like CFKid, Runninghusker,, Russ1910, and yes, our long-lost friend, Formationflier (Jesse, where the hell are you?). Felt like I was in the final 3 on Survivor and I was looking at the snuffed out torches of the ones who once were. I kept thinking "what happened to him?", "how's she doing?", etc.

Interesting experience.

Yeah, Formationflier's disappearance remains one of the greatest unsolved mysteries of all time.

I, likewise miss the likes of CFkid, Runninghusker, et al. Wonder what Carmel is up to lately. Talk about a success story!

I take a peek at the "other" RunningAHEAD forums from time to time, but not recently. Maybe Carmel "graduated" to mainstream running. Hee, hee.

My favorite still remains MarathonPeach. She's from your neck of the woods, I believe. Runnerclay's got to be <a half marathon from you, as well. Runs a mean 5k, you know.

Added a splash to my "Y" post. Wish I had some Graphics/Paint, what-have-you skill. Like what you've done!! Great stuff.
