March 9th - i ran a half marathon at 78% HRR (158HR) it had some hills ran it at 9:06 pace Tomorrow i have a flat half marathon should i try it at a similar pace/HR Dilemma is it is 2 weeks before the London Marathon which i am doing, is this pushing it too far/too hard If it is any suggestions about how to pace tomorrows run Pratically all my training has been at a low HR under 70% HRR usually under 65% normally Thoughts?

two weeks out from you goal marathon. I would not race this half all out. I would even do the whole thing at marathon pace. Maybe 6-7 miles at the end at MP HR which is probably around 78% HRR for you maybe higher 80-82ish. I would run the first 6-7 miles easy and then maybe gradually pick it up towards the end up to MP pace. Unless you want this HM to be your goal race, I think there is more chance of messing up your marathon in two weeks by running the whole race hard than helping.

Why is this a dilemma? I think if you can answer that question, you'll have your answer. --Jimmy
