See, that's not good, because usually if I can't find something, it's not on the internets. A long, long time ago on a websites far far away, Jesse posted a chart that gave approximate heart rates for distances all the way up to ultra distances. Yeah, anyone know where that chart went? I needs it.
I'm touching your pants.

I don not know chart. Go to Oregon pace wizard. Plug in the distances and it will give you the HR.
Run until the trail runs out.

You make me feel nostalgic, WIll. Miss Jesse being on the scene. He was very cool.
Ron's advice is good. THe pace wizard is about as close as you'll get.
I think I have some links to the old yelllow and blue Coolrunning threads. Let me look them up and I'll get back to you.

Here is a link I just found which may be of general interest. It doesn't appear to apply for ultras, however gives #s for the 26.2 range.
What does everyone think?

I quickly plugged in a few HR numbers for myself and the suggested rates appeared a little high?

here he talks about how he warms up for a marathon and includes a little chart of his HR during a race:

On this page a chart is mentioned from Daniel's RUnning Formula about the MHR you can sustain for marathons of different duration:

The book, Heart Monitor Training for the Compleat Idiot by John L. Parker, is a good source for heart rate thresholds for races of all different lengths.
OMG. I'm embarrassed. I got busy in life and forgot about this. There are some family health things going on and I have 3 projects going. I is a busy girl. Today I got back to the running project and I remembered I had this thread.
I can give what I remember. I will have to look at the old CR links, but as I recall, we lost about 70%+ of the threads in the active transition. It was an actual chart, and it might have been stored at Jesse's personal site for a while. It's turning out I might be the only American of my kind in a small segment of this sport, so I need to revamp my training and figure out how to put on a good show, inspire others to come chase me and all that rah rah stuff.
Hopefully, after the manslave gets his back surgery next month, I will be free of enough stress to train somewhat seriously again. Back to digging through old threads....

I can't see the HR, but most of those come with the warning that they are aggressive. I know I have a high max HR and my marathon HR is around 180-183 when I get up to speed and firing right. Let's not talk about the HR at the end of the race. I would freak out doctors and stuff.
