Boston Presentation this Thursday night! And a Request! (Read 305 times)

q day

Hey everyone, I hope you are all planning on coming this Thursday night to the "Boston Program". I do have one request, and that is to please bring anything that you think is intersting or valuable to the program. For instance, I have copied a couple sections from "Runner's World Special Collector's Issue, Boston the 100th" thanks to Tom May. He found his treasured copy from April 1996 and although the entire issue is of interest, I couldn't copy the whole thing. I'll bring 20+ copies. Also, I've recently purchased "Boston Marathon and Beyond", from the Marathon and Beyond, site. Good stuff, and I'll probably dupe some stuff from it for the program. We will have a computer, projector and screen, so anyone can copy some stuff on a thumb drive and bring it in. I'll project it, and you can present it. This is an informal gathering, so no need to be shy, and the more we all know, the better! I'm taking some fliers to the CMC Tues/Thurs run tomorrow and Thursday (weather permitting). Here is the information on them: ----------------------------------- Marathon Q & A (with Boston Marathon focus) Thursday, April 3, 2008 7:00 – 8:30 pm D Rowe’s 1005 Club Village Drive Columbia MO 65203 Topics: “How to run Boston” – Steve Stonecipher-Fisher, followed by Q & A “Hydration issues for Marathoners” – Dr. John Palmer, followed by Q & A Plus, “Start to Finish; Everything you’d ever want to know about the Boston Marathon” and more! ----------------------------- Please invite anyone you think would like to come. I've called other BQers in the area and there should be a good turn out. Darrin
