The run this Saturday is going to be a bit unusual. The route is a bit silly, but should provide some good tests as we gear our bodies up for the challenging Boston Marathon course. Here is the plan for the run: 1. Start at the Scott Blvd.-MKT trailhead at 6:00 AM. 2. We'll then do approximately 4.5 miles at an easy pace (Scott to Grant to Chapel Hill to Mills to Forum to Stadium to MKT trail to 1.5 mile marker). 3. Starting at the 1.5 mile marker, we will then run hard for three miles back to the 4.5 mile marker near Scott Blvd. 4. Refuel at car (optional) 5. Repeat steps 2 and 3. 6. 1-2 miles of cooldown (optional) Sounds fun, don't you think? If any of you Garmin-wearers downloaded the workout to your watch, make sure that your RUN pace is set to your desired tempo pace. If you have a question about this, bring your watch to D. Rowe's tonight and I'll show you how to adjust that setting. Screwy
