No Talent Drips
Hi all,
Going to find myself in Portland on the morning of the 17th...torn between looking for a good race, or just running long while down there.
So, any good races?
Or, anyone want to join me for some loops of the Back Cove trail?

Races? The Kerryman (sp?) Pub 5K in Saco is on the 17th -- usually has a pretty fast field....
I haven't been over near Back Cove in a the last few weeks, but at some time they are supposed to be tearing up a good chunk of Baxter Blvd...the trail is supposed to stay open during construction, but might not be in good shape.
There's a Maine Track Club group run that organizes and starts from Payson Park on Sunday at 7:30AM (aka "the middle of the night" to me)
Acceptable at a dance, invaluable in a shipwreck.
Thanks Andy. I think I may head to Rockland for the 5k and just try and add some mileage around that...

I talked to an out-of-town visitor who ran Back Cove yesterday. He mentioned the cold (he's from Florida), but didn't say anything about the trail being in bad shape, so I bet it's OK.
