Is anybody else doing the 5k run next Monday night? I signed up for it.  A good way to donate a little ($20) to helping out people affected by the bombs.

Did you see the photo of the bombers in today's Portland paper?  Dari, a runner on RunningAhead, said that her son is the kid in the black cap at the left of the photo.  Dari's friend is in the orange shirt.  The girl in pink, right behind him, and almost touching one of the bombers, is her son's girlfriend.  Her son got blood on himself from somebody else.  Although none of the three was hurt physically, they are in bad shape emotionally.

My friend Celeste, from North Yarmouth, is fast and had already completed the marathon.  She was a couple of blocks past the finish line when she realized that nobody had given her a medal!  She walked back to the finish line, received her medal, and was in the changing tent when the bombs went off.  She ended up walking miles with her luggage in order to get to the bus station, and then reporters pounced on her when she got off in Portland.
