Stevep nice to have you waking starting us!
pdr I'm so glad you're on the mend and that this hasn't messed up your fall plans.
Karin congratulations!!! and I love the Banjo story.
Congratulations to all the Seattle crowd!!!! I am so happy it went so well. wtg all of you .
Holly, I love how you put this... "This has been an amazing experience, with just the most top-notch people - the warmth and friendship of old friends, even those meeting for the first time. What a wonderful meet-up this has been! My heart is all thumpy...."
That reminds me... I was going to write sort of a mini Bayshore weekend report, but waited too long & just didn't. It's a little late, but I have to say how wonderful it was meeting the Beergers & Stevep (& Tag). They're absolutely top-notch too. It really amazes me sometimes what a wonderful group this is. I'm grateful to be here.
Rest day for me, although not very restful! Up at 4 am to make a 7:15 flight to Philly, then a 4.5 hour drive to Ithaca NY. We're visiting Cornell tomorrow. Hope to fit in a run either before or after the tour. Prolly after - I'm not much of a morning runner, and I'm still on Colorado time, so getting up early will be tough. Tomorrow afternoon we drive up to Rochester. Have time for a run, Craneium?
Can't wait for Seattle RRs and pictures!

What a wonderful experience for all the Seattle runners. Congrats to everyone!
Opted to get off the trails this a.m. Tried to run a new one closer to my home that a lot of people trespass on (yes, trespass); however, a Deputy Sheriff decided to check things out just as we got to where you'd enter the property. So we huffed it back up the road and went to the beach for the final 1.75 miles. I thought I had a much faster pace than what is showing, but I guess I wasn't accounting for the first 1.44 miles, which had a some hill work, the couple of times we walked to drink while on the beach, and the times I slowed down so Karen could catch up with me. I had the tune "Flowers on the Wall" by the Statler Bros. in my head, and I was cruising. It felt good to stretch the legs out after yesterday. Tapering starts this next week, then my 50k on July 11. I'm already getting nervous, but mostly because of the elevation.
Later!
