We give Free Passes to those who come really close or try really hard... Here’s what I have for last week's tally. Let me know if there are any errors. A couple people are gone this week - if you want me to put you in, let me know.

Thank you Holly - Time to think taper for 11/2 marathon - But who knows last week was suppose to be a recovery week and I am feeling really good. Its not a goal marathon - just for fun. I continue to be in anti-taper mood all week. M 6 = recovery pace T 16/5/5 = I slept in so I had to run fast 2 WU/ 6@ MP/ 4@T/ 4@MP= 16 in 1:45 total W 6/4/5 = easy pace TH 10/5 Had work meeting 5-6am, I only could fit 10 with 4x4 @ CV (Starting light taper) F 5/5/5 SA 22 ending with 5x1 mile @ LAT (Taper Schmaper - who needs it Smile ) / 5 easy in PM SU 11 easy with running group / 5 easy pm Total = 120 on 16 runs, I used to hit 120 on 12 runs ... glad it is in the books, now a mini taper to next Sundays 'thon. If your wondering why all the runs, I am fat and trying to lose weight and if I am running I am not eating ... of course unless it is an ultra where my 2 passions combine. Good running to all -

Long dead ... But my stench lingers !

Holly thanks for running the thread. Last full week prior to the NYC Marathon! It looks like a lot of miles on my schedule but it is sort of fake given how light it has been the last few.

Wednesday60 Run with TP. May need to take it off. I will have to see what the morning brings. Felt horrible going to bed last night. Wonder if I have a cold? Called my TP warned her I might not make. Alas, I did not. We will see how I feel tomorrow.
Thursday80 Will run 11 and include some speedwork if I feel really good. Still ill.
Friday610.366 AM miles with some friends. Then 4 in the PM. Cold still not gone. Worse my left hamstring is acting up! Where did that come from? Sad
Saturday130 Run with local running club. Until my left hamstring is 100% I am not running.

I had hoped to meet mainerunnah during the NYC marathon seeing as how we had similar goal times. But given all my problems the last two weeks at this point I am going to have to deep six my original time plans. My new plan is to go out and just see how things go and make decisions along the route. Cry This is really not what I wanted. Sigh. . .

Good lord. Who is this Dopple Bock guy? Running 129 miles POST-MARATHON????? Oh my. I may need a free pass this week, as things may be messed up as I'll be in Arizona for the weekend. Running will likely take a back seat to other things.

Good lord. Who is this Dopple Bock guy? Running 129 miles POST-MARATHON????? Oh my. Just a nice smooth full bodied beer - I have no idea why I felt so good last week - In peak training I have averaged 110-120 Miles per Week for 16+ weeks, so 129 is not out of this world, but after a good marathon its not explainable. Part of it is the 42 miler - I have future goals in the 24 hour race arena and need to keep my long up. I just love to run - I am fairly slow for the effort I give - But I can not control my genetics Big grin

Long dead ... But my stench lingers !
