This is the place to commit to and encourage others in support of their weigh loss/gain goals. We all are going through fitness of various cycles which are directly related to phase of training, life's commitments, injury, and just starting the running thing. All are welcome to sign up for this ongoing thread. Just state your weight goal and once a week status. Some folks are already where they want to be and are just trying to maintain. Try to be consistent when you conduct your weekly weigh-in. Any day of the week is fine - some folks use a particular scale.
Remember to list your weekly loss/gain and calculate your Total over/under towards Goal Weight Loss
Good luck with your weekly goals. Andrew

Tip of the Week -
"Body weight aside, you can only achieve your best possible race performance by training properly and maintaining a very high-quality diet. Of course, training properly and maintaining a very high-quality diet will also tend to make you leaner, but that's secondary. The main objective of your training and diet is to improve your fitness. Whatever happens to your body weight as a result of training properly and maintaining a high-quality diet is what should happen. This is one situation where the means are more important than the end."

man...this week isn't starting out well.
Runners run
Well, I forgot to post last week, but I wasn't happy with my weight, so maybe that's a good thing.
I'm back at 142 even, so if we forget about last week, I'm still holding steady. Once my last race of the season is done, I am SO going to have to be more disciplined in my diet. Bring on the holidays! . . .

Bare Performance
My birthday was Sunday so I'll give myself a pass for this week. I gained 1 pound so I'm up 1 pound overall since 8/17. This is not going so well so far. Perseverance and faith. Weight loss is secondary to proper training and a good attitude so I shall continue to put one foot in front of the other.
Marathon Maniac #957
Well, I am NOT having a lot of success here, but this taper, marathon, taper, 50k stuff means that I am either eating, or not running, or eating again. (sigh) Down a half-lb this week, so 1.5 lbs loss so far. Not really where I was hoping to be, but I will keep on trying.
Life is a headlong rush into the unknown. We can hunker down and hope nothing hits us or we can stand tall, lean into the wind and say, "Bring it on, darlin', and don't be stingy with the jalapenos."
What is that line from "The Devil Wears Prada?" "I'm just one stomach flu away from my ideal weight" Still not back 100% which is good news for the scale, but bad news for energy and just feeling human. No weight gain, no more weight loss. Holding steady at -2
On Tuesday I felt that the
... week isn't starting out well.
and was not
...happy with my weight ...
either until today I was
... Down a half-lb this week ...
so it does not matter if the
... "The Devil Wears Prada" ...
and
... I shall continue to put one foot in front of the other.
My total over/under is now -4.0
