Life is a headlong rush into the unknown. We can hunker down and hope nothing hits us or we can stand tall, lean into the wind and say, "Bring it on, darlin', and don't be stingy with the jalapenos."

Thanks Holly Not much of a plan for this week, all runs will be slow and easy. Tues: rest/ deep tissue massage - wonderful 90 minute plus deep tissue massage. Wed: 40 min - 5.0 miles (8:31 pace) nice and easy. Thurs: 50 min - 6.0 miles (8:24 pace), legs feeling a little better. Fri: 60 min - 7.0 miles (8:16 pace) - HR is coming down and pace is getting faster. Sat: 40 min - 5.0 miles (8:31 pace) very easy. Sun: 90 min - 14.0 miles (8:15 pace) lots of hills, legs slowly getting better. Total: 40.0 miles

This year is my comeback to running, after hardly running very much for ten years. Last week was my 2nd week over 40 miles, and my fastest pace so far for the 26th mile.

                          Not at it at all.

Hello all, Just became a master a couple weeks ago and would like to join your 40/40 club. That being said will not get there the next few weeks as entering taper for marathon (May 17th) and then post race recovery. But was just getting to that 40mpw range and would like to maintain that range until ramping up for 2nd marathon in the fall.

"It's supposed to be hard. If it wasn't hard, everyone would do it. The hard... is what makes it Great!

Just dropping in to say hi and you guys are all doing great! Interesting to know that Bruce and I are both out with basically the same problem: sciatica. It's proving to be a lot harder to get over than I thought it would be... Sad
