Life is a headlong rush into the unknown. We can hunker down and hope nothing hits us or we can stand tall, lean into the wind and say, "Bring it on, darlin', and don't be stingy with the jalapenos."

Hang in there Holly. Running a half in Albuquerque in 5 weeks, and it's a little higher altitude than most runs here, but I plan to do some more runs a few miles up into the Organ Mountains here to get acclimated. My 30k trail run earlier this month was up there but it was really slow, so I need to practice road running faster there.
Monday.............4 miles easy..........................................................................................done-4
Tuesday....a.m. group MP run; p.m. high altitude tempo...............................................done-7.4
Wednesday......6-6.5 mile group steady run.............................................................done (solo)-6
Thursday...........group MP run.....done-3.4 + 6.5 unplanned trail run with my RP.........done-9.9
Friday................6 miles easy..........................................................................................done-6
Saturday...........6-9 mile group trail run...........................................................................done-6.6
Sunday.............about 3 miles easy....................................................................done-easy but hilly-3
Total.................................................................................................................................................42.8 miles

the week started on a low note, that 8 miler
on treadmill felt unusually hard. so I skipped
Tuesday. Wed and Thu ran in Central Park
at sunset, and it was not too bad. On Thu
I finally (in 21 years) found the bridle path
and ran a few miles there, also
"explored" the ramble and the reservoir loop.
