Thanks, btb! SLOJim, why am I sceptical when you tell me something is a fun course? And its called 'Heartbreak" too! But I do love me some jarheads.

Well that didn't take much to talk you into the race It's really not bad and there's only one hill ..... but you have to go up it twice.... once going out and then again coming back. It's sort of like PV.....a race of discipline, if you try to attack the hill too much you'll pay for it later in the race.

Hi Ilene, I can't run at PV with you but am in good shape, so I thought I would venture out to OC. I am thinking about Heartbreak Ridge myself but I don't know how much heartbreak I can stand these days! Did the distance derby get moved to October? Did you hear they moved the dates of the So Cal Half Marathon and the OC Marathon as well?
