Nap, anyone? (Read 287 times)

jimmyb

Love a daily power nap. Especially after a long run like today.

I know some people who avoid naps because they don't feel right.

Anyone here love naps like I do? That brief little

journey to la-la land makes a big difference.

    My mind is going

I'd sleep all day if I didn't have to work and help take care of our 3 year old granddaughter.  Some days all I think about is sleep.   Roll eyes

I am putting myself to the fullest possible use, which is all I think that any conscious entity can ever hope to do.

I'm not a napper, but once or twice a year, I'll make an entire Sunday one big nap.  There'll be times I feel like taking a nap, but as soon as I get into position, I'm wide awake.  . . . . . I'd like to give that a test run right now . . . . .

I nap often.  A short little 10 or 15 minute snooze is amazingly refreshing.  My Dad on the other hand hates them because he feels out of it afterward.  Not me!

I'm far to hyper to nap.  I cannot sleep on airplanes or in cars, during the day, or with a light on.  Heck, I need to run 40 to 50 miles a week just to avoid bouncing off the walls.

I tend to nap only when I'm sick with the exception of after a 2+ hour run - then my bode needs some down time

I can have caffeine at 11 pm and be asleep at 11:01 - luv the stuff!

I love a power nap!  30 minutes around 1:3pm - followed by a cup of coffee and some puttering on my computer - awesome!

But on the weekends, I definitely work that in if possible.

I used to take a lot more naps: 20 minutes at lunch time and I'd be refreshed for the rest of the day - any longer would be too much. But I switched to a gluten-free diet last November, and now I have more energy, and only take a nap on a weekend day every once in a while - sometimes after a particularly long workout.

Golf is my favorite napping sport; it helps that the announcers speak in hushed tones, and there aren't any cheerleaders, bands. etc. Whenever I tell DW that I'm going to "watch some golf," she knows not to disturb me...
