Life is a headlong rush into the unknown. We can hunker down and hope nothing hits us or we can stand tall, lean into the wind and say, "Bring it on, darlin', and don't be stingy with the jalapenos."

I'm in... Geist Half Marathon week.
Have fun. Good course and should be better with the changes this year. Weather looks optimal for racing hard.
Course was OK. A couple rolling hills. Not too challenging. Never ran old course so I can't compare but I liked running by reservoir, running through both residential and wooded areas, and I really loved the uphill finish. I think the race is a little costly for a small half, but course support with fluids and restrooms was superb. my aspirations were just to do a training run.
Since a runner who was either warming up or taking the long walk from permitted parking lots was struck by a school bus shuttling runner from lots to the start, I expect a review of logistics for next years event. She was listed in critical condition.
57 for the week, got in 5X5 min threshold on Tuesday and a bit of speed on Thursday. Half marathon next week.
nice weeks, everyone
