          Got so busy last week that I didn't get anything posted.  Here's this week's plan:

          Tuesday 7 7.3 Includes 5 mile progression run where I got 20 seconds faster each mile starting@ 7:10 per mile.  
          Wednesday 7 7.0    
          Thursday 7 7.5 Running around during XC races.  Qualified 4 individuals for state.  
          Friday 7 6.6  Includes 3 x 30, 60, 120 second intervals @ 5k pace (60 second recovery)  
          Saturday 10 to 12 12  Nice and easy...  
          Sunday Off  WALK 25 minute walk

            Total: 44 miles ( 5hr 45min)

             

            15th New York, 40th total marathon.

            worst marathon since around 2007,

            split 1:28/1:43. the problem was not

            the 1:28 half, but the 20:08 first 5k. or,

            even more precisely, what killed me

            was mile 2, which was done in 5:40.

            mile 26 was 6:49, so I sort of recovered

            in the end,  but it was too little too late
