Marathon Maniac #957

I was 2/3 in my AG (60+) (Also oldest in the race) and 43/54 OA.

    Well done!

how are those pills doing Holly?

I heard that mountaineers use 'em too for high altitude energy.

      Confused  Which ones?

      Hi Perch and Gordon!

No run for me today, but I did the most substantial 40 minutes of core/strength training that I've done in a while.  Probably will feel this tomorrow, but I'm glad.

Took my little dog Daisy to the vet after work because she has been limping for a couple of weeks.  Nothing was visible, and she doesn't complain or whine when you touch it, but it wouldn't go away.  Of course, when we got to the vet, she was no longer limping.  Vet didn't know, said there was nothing noticable, maybe arthritis from an injury she had as a pup, when she got stepped on one.  He gave her some cortisone pills to see if that settled it down.  Wish she could talk and tell us the problem.  She's not quite 4 yet, seems early for arthritis.

Holly, go back to see tomwhite's comment from yesterday's thread:

........................Someone hacked my yahoo account (again - how do they do that?) and so a bunch of spams got sent out.  If you got one, please disregard.

        ...so,

you actually DON'T sell the cheapest generic Viagra on the internet????

        Big grin

        Oh... those pills!

Heh. Hope Daisy is ok and just twisted something running around. Little dogs can be tricky though, so many have degenerative joint conditions. I guess big dogs do, too. We had a husky mix with hip displasia and it was just heartbreaking to hear her yelp and whine sometimes.

Wow, Carolyn got snow in Denver before we did here! I know she gets it before we do where she lives, but not always down farther. We're being blessed with really nice weather, not balmy warm but low 40's to mid-50's in the day, low 30's at night. Today is cool and overcast, but we got up to almost 60 yesterday! Nice. Any day like this in October is a gift so we'll take it! S'posed to rain this weekend, but no "S" word in the forecast for now.

Ran 5.1 miles at lunch on the ultra trail, so pretty much the last 3 miles of the ultra course, then looped back on the first two miles of the course. I just cut out 35 miles in the middle of the ultra. Roll eyes Was fine in long sleeves and shorts, but forgot my gloves so my hands got cold.

Maybe check with Carolyn and Mike.

I can't speak for Mike, but I have plenty of energy at high altitude without any pills!  Big grin

I hammered down the trail, passing rocks and trees like they were standing still.
